Terms of Service

By using NAVCOM AI ("the Bot"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). NAVCOM AI is a Discord bot designed to enhance Star Citizen guild servers with features like RSI handle verification, role management, and community tools. Please read these Terms carefully before using the Bot.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By adding NAVCOM AI to your Discord server or interacting with its commands, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Bot. We may update these Terms from time to time, and continued use of the Bot after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
2. Use of the Bot
NAVCOM AI is provided to assist with managing Star Citizen Discord servers. You may use the Bot to:
- Verify RSI handles with commands like
/verify
and/local_verify
to ensure member authenticity. - Manage roles with commands like
/set_org_role
and/set_rank_role
to reflect Star Citizen org memberships and ranks. - Access SENTRY database information using
/citizen
and/org
for player and org lookups. - Create dynamic voice channels with
/add_dynamic_vc
for seamless communication. - Send welcome messages to new members using
/set_welcome_message
. - Manage command permissions with commands like
/grant_command_access
and/deny_command_access
.
You agree to use the Bot in compliance with Discord’s Terms of Service (discord.com/terms) and Community Guidelines (discord.com/guidelines), as well as all applicable laws and regulations.
3. Prohibited Activities
You may not use NAVCOM AI for any of the following:
- Unlawful Activities: Using the Bot to engage in or promote illegal activities.
- Abuse of Features: Attempting to exploit or misuse commands (e.g., spamming
/verify
to disrupt functionality). - Harassment: Using the Bot to harass, harm, or impersonate others, including falsifying RSI handle verifications.
- Interference: Attempting to reverse-engineer, hack, or interfere with the Bot’s operation or its integration with the SENTRY database.
- Unauthorized Access: Using the Bot to gain unauthorized access to Discord servers, channels, or user data.
Violation of these prohibitions may result in the suspension or termination of the Bot’s services for your server.
4. User Responsibilities
As a user of NAVCOM AI, you are responsible for:
- Accurate Information: Providing accurate RSI handles for verification to ensure proper functionality.
- Server Management: Configuring the Bot appropriately (e.g., setting roles, welcome messages) to avoid unintended consequences, such as incorrect role assignments.
- Compliance: Ensuring your use of the Bot aligns with Discord’s policies and these Terms.
- Security: Keeping your Discord server secure and reporting any issues with the Bot to us promptly.
5. Limitation of Liability
NAVCOM AI is provided "as is" and is currently in beta. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Bot, including but not limited to loss of data, server disruptions, or role mismanagement.
- We are not responsible for the accuracy of data provided by the SENTRY database, as it is a third-party service.
- We are not liable for any actions taken by users based on the Bot’s features, such as role assignments or verification statuses.
Use the Bot at your own risk. We recommend testing features in a controlled environment before full deployment on your server.
6. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate NAVCOM AI’s services for your server at our discretion, including but not limited to:
- Violation of these Terms or Discord’s policies.
- Abuse of the Bot’s features or resources.
- Requests from Discord to remove the Bot from a server.
You may terminate use of NAVCOM AI at any time by removing the Bot from your server. Upon removal, all server-specific data (e.g., role mappings, welcome message settings) will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
7. Beta Status and Updates
NAVCOM AI is in beta testing. Features may change, break, or be removed as we continue development. We will strive to provide updates and improvements, but we are not obligated to maintain specific features or functionality during this phase. Documentation for features will be added only once they are fully complete and polished.
8. Intellectual Property
NAVCOM AI and its associated code, design, and documentation are the intellectual property of its developers. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Bot without express permission. The Bot’s integration with the SENTRY database is licensed for use solely through NAVCOM AI’s functionality.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved through binding arbitration in the United States, unless otherwise required by law.
